2024/25 YYG Taxi License Renewal

Returning Drivers

YYG will be completing taxi license renewals throughout the months of April and May as current licenses expire on May 31st. To renew a license, you must complete the Canadian Airports Accessibility Training (outlined in "Canadian Airport Accessibility Training" below) and bring in the required documents (outlined in "Receive Your 2024/25 Airport License" below).

Please note that returning drivers will not be required to complete in person training this year.

New Drivers

If you are a new driver you are required to complete the Canadian Airports Accessibility Training (outlined in "Canadian Airport Accessibility Training" below), sign up and attend an in-person training session, and bring the required documents (outlined in "Receive Your 2024/25 Airport License" below).

In person training sessions for new drivers:

May 10th @ 10:00 AM

May 23rd @ 2:30 PM

Training is anticipated to take 30-45 minutes.

Canadian Airports Accessibility Training

All taxi drivers are required to complete our new Canadian Airports Accessibility Training, which will be required every 3 years if you maintain an active license with the airport.

Instruction on how to create an account and complete the training for both desktop and mobile device can be found below.

Please ensure you bring a printed copy of your certificate or email it to taxi@flyYYG.com before coming in to get your 2024/25 license.

Receive Your 2024/25 Airport License

REMINDER: airport licenses and numbers are assigned to the individual drivers and not the vehicle.

Returning Drivers

To renew your airport license for 2024/25 you can come into the office Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Ensure you have all the following documents:

  1. Your 2024/25* City Taxi License - personal license with photo;
  2. Your provincial drivers license; and
  3. Canadian Airports Accessibility Training Certificate.

New Drivers

Licenses will be completed immediately after in-person training if all the following documents are provided:

  1. Your 2024/25* City Taxi License - personal license with photo;
  2. Your provincial drivers license;
  3. Canadian Airports Accessibility Training Certificate; and
  4. You have completed in-person training.

*Your City Taxi License must be your updated 2024/25 license, until you receive this you cannot get your airport license.
