Rachel Hershfield – Charleston, South Carolina

I came across the magnificent St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church (dedicated in 1872) during my visit to Charleston, South Carolina. I was struck by the scale, the details and the colour, which is so typical of architecture in the area. Everywhere you go, you find gorgeous buildings and homes painted in soft pastel hues. In addition to the delicious food of the area, Charleston is also a delightful visual feast for the eyes.
